This Earth Day, we will be planting about 100 native plants in the new American Legion garden by the Patuxent River. The plants are in "plug" form, meaning they are mostly roots and can help economically fill out a garden. We will also be spot weeding any invasive species that have come up since our last work day.
We're looking for a few volunteers. If you're interested in helping out and seeing how to plant plugs efficiently (we will have an auger drill), please sign up. We ask that everyone bring garden gloves, full water bottles, and any digging tools they have (shovels, trowels, cultivators, iron rakes, etc). We will only have a few extra tools to borrow. If you have a battery-powered drill, that would be a big help.
